Trip Tips
Know Before You Go
Bottom fishing and trolling are perfect first trips — the crew rigs the lines, baits the hooks and coaches you through the fight.
The crew cleans and fillets it, and most beach warungs will grill it for a small fee. Release GT and billfish — they're worth more in the water.
Captains use fish finders and years of local knowledge, but the ocean makes no guarantees. Go for the day on the water; the fish are the bonus.
Tuna and mahi-mahi peak May to September; GT popping fires year-round on the right tides. Ask us which window suits your target species.
Gear, bait, drinks and coolers are on board (Shimano, Daiwa, Penn). Bring sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, quick-dry clothes and non-marking footwear.
Half-day trips run 4-5 hours, full days 8-10, and liveaboards 2-4 days. Match the format to your stamina and your species.
Bottom fishing and trolling welcome children from about six with supervision, and boats carry kid-size life jackets. Half days suit young families best.
